Prát prádlo na Štědrý den přináší smůlu / To wash clothes brings bad luck

Zítra jsou vánoce. ZÍTRA JSOU VÁNOCE! A já chápu že se těšíte ale nesmíme zapomínat i na vánoční zvyky a tak si některé dnes zopakujeme. Tak nejdříve, co by se mělo a nemělo. Prát prádlo na Štědrý den přináší smůlu. A nesmí se rozhodně věšet prádlo, protože by se během roku mohl někdo oběsit. Přes den nesmíte zametat a vynášet z domu odpadky a smetí, protože byste si vynesli štěstí. Při samotné večeři počet strávníků musí být vždy sudý, pokud není, dává se talíř navíc pro nečekaného hosta. A také se nesmí zapomenout, že se od svátečního stolu nesmí vstávat a odcházet až do skončení večeře. Protože kdo to udělá, ten se už "příštích Vánoc nedožije". Zatím veselé.

Také se o Vánocích hodně věští. Buď můžete krájet jablko a pokud je zdravé a s hvězdou, bude mít štěstí. Pokud bude shnilé, bude nemocný a když tam bude kříž, hrozí to nejhorší. Také můžete lít olovo. Roztavte olovo a lijte do vody a z tvarů suďte svoji budoucnost. Dívky se v olovu snaží najít podobiznu svého milého či jeho monogram. Na Štědrý den se svobodné dívky také mohou svého osudu zeptat, čeká-li je v příštím roce svatba. Dívka hází střevícem přes hlavu. Jestliže dopadne patou ke dveřím, zůstane i nadále doma. Pokud ale bota zamíří špičkou ze dveří ven, čekají dotyčnou vdavky a odchod od rodičů.
